This webinar will provide an overview of the standards-based instructional design process. The relationship between physical literacy, the physical education standards and student learning will be discussed and then participants will be guided through an easy to follow 5-step model for designing standards-based lessons and learning sequences. A lesson will be shared to allow participants to see how the theory of standards-based instruction is applied to practice.

Participants will:

  • Be able to describe the relationship between physical literacy, the physical education standards, and student learning
  • Learn how to unpack a standard
  • Learn how to align assessment and instruction to the standard
