This webinar demonstrates how curricula from the content areas of music and physical education can be used together to teach movement to students with and without special needs in a general education setting. This collaborative unit, designed by an elementary music teacher and an elementary physical education teacher, involves students utilizing choreographed and non-choreographed movements and/or dances to folk, multicultural, popular, and instrumental music. The movements used in this collaborative unit focus on beat, form, direction, expression, and spatial awareness.
