SHAPE America Nominations Committee

The Nominations Committee is seeking candidates for the 2017 president-elect and three new directors for the Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors is the governing body of SHAPE America and has supervision, control, and direction of the business, property, finances, and affairs of the association. The Board is composed of eleven professional members including the president, past president, and the president-elect.

Only professional members who have been a member in good standing for five years immediately prior to election are eligible to be elected as directors of the association. Directors may not hold more than one elected office at one time. The bylaws also provide for additional Directors (up to two) who are not members and who serve a non-voting position on the Board.

Any SHAPE America member may suggest candidates (or themselves) to the Nominations Committee. Nominees are invited to submit their names as candidates by providing their vita, responses to selected questions, and an indication of their willingness to serve, if elected. All candidate application materials must be emailed or postmarked by October 15, 2016.

February 14, 2017... Voting begins

March 16, 2017... Voting ends

March 17, 2017... Election results are announced to the members at the Annual Business Meeting in Boston and through electronic communication
