The Delegate Assembly

The Delegate Assembly is a representative body that consists of delegates who serve at-large and represent the whole SHAPE America membership. The Assembly votes to approve amendments to the bylaws, recommends policy positions to the Board of Directors, and provides a sense of the members' views on a particular subject. The Delegate Assembly meets annually at the time and place of the national convention.

To serve as an Assembly delegate, professionals and students must hold a current membership in SHAPE America and must have held such membership for at least one continuous year immediately prior to election or appointment to the Assembly. Delegates are selected by SHAPE America districts based on membership distribution.
